Career Plans

I'm not really certain of the career i'm interested in. Game design is one that I am certain about. I see myself not only building a career for myself but pursuing something I've always wanted. Game design would help me put my ideas and creativity to work. Yet I'm not so sure about what field I want to pursue.

The reason i'm interested about this career field is because my life has revolved around videos games ever since I can barley remember. Ever since I was little it's what captivated me the most. The idea of being in control of another being and making an actual impact to it's world; this idea impacted me a lot as a child and made me feel important. I was the middle child and playing video games was an escape from being "Malcolm in the middle". Ever since then, video games have always been apart of my life and i'd love for it to be apart of my life.

I see myself using my imagination to help create works of art, in this case video games. I'd work good hours and I wouldn't have to work really hard.

Don't Text and Drive PSA Poster

My topic was about "Don't Text and Drive". I chose this topic because i felt it is a main factor in society that causes accidents. If prevented, it can save hundreds of innocent lives. Texting and driving is common among young adults and teens.

I learned that putting your cell phone away can save lives. Twenty-three percent of car accidents are caused by texting and driving. Thirty-four percent of teens say that they text and drive. There are 10 states that have prohibit cell phone usage while driving. Texting and driving makes you six times more likely to crash than driving while intoxicated.

The interesting facts i used from the website textinganddrivingsafety.com and was "there are over 1,600,000 accidents and 330,000 injuries per year caused by texting and driving".

My finished PSA informs and educates the viewer by showing them a dark but conveying message to not text and drive. Texting and driving is a dangerous and is life risking, not just for the driver but the passengers and pedestrians. It causes many problems such as the possibility of orphaning a child, and ruining lives of the people involved in the accident. Texting and driving is dangerous and just plain dumb.

Color Psychology

In the Color Psychology article, the author first states that's color theory is based on emotional and mental effects. The color of your surroundings also influences how you feel and your state of mind. Different colors such as blue can being calming and less straining on the retina. Purple is said to increase creativity. The colors orange and makes you have an appetite, colors that many restaurants use. Many companies use color phycology to help with advertisement, whether it's to make people hungry, to provide a sense of trust, or even with positive or negative ways that influence costumers.

For example the color red translates to love and romance as well as comfort and life. The color white brings shows a sign of purity and innocence. The color orange symbolizes happy and excitement. Color's also affect you're thoughts on things, such as if you are hungry, feeling angry or make you feel nervous, there are many examples of these. Color phycology has been used in advertisements all over the world.  

Dream Destination Get Away!

Sunny California is my dream destination because it's an amazing place to be. We have theme parks such as Disney World, Six Flags or Knott's Berry Farm, but, don't worry we've also got beautiful  beaches that'll you're sure to love. From Universal Studios to Sea World, you're sure to have a blast!
